Episode 2
Undaunted by the mistakes and problems in Episode 1, we plunge ahead for 78 thrill-packed minutes.. This time we talk about the release of the long-awaited “Valor of the Guards”. We wonder about how many ASL players there are in the world. Jeff whips out the “Top Ten” list: “Why You Should Play ASL”. Of course we play “What’s in the Box?” and discuss a favorite scenario. Then Dave reveals a short list of rules that he used to forget and gives a little WW II history lesson.

Hello, I’m just tuning in. I’m a newbie and have two games under my belt. I am looking forward to hearing more pod casts from you guys, although you should probably stay sober for the next ones. You sounded mighty drunk on this one. JK Give me basic tactics please. I’ve got enough trouble trying to remember what a cx counter does, forget thinking about tactics right now. Also, I’d recommend anyone starting out buying the starter kit 1. And make sure to get an experienced player to show you how to play. I’m looking forward to a long ASL journey with you guys on the air. Matt( from Tokyo)
Welcome, Matt. We’re glad you tuned us in. Even though the show is limited to one subject — ASL — there is still a wide range in audience. We’re going to do our best to speak to everyone from the neophytes to the oldie-phytes, and make it as entertaining as possible for everyone. If we lose you during an advanced topic, please plow through it with us anyway. You’ll be amazed how quickly you catch on. While it’s slightly more complicated than brain surgery, it’s not has hard as quantum field theory.
No, we’re not drunk. We always have that much fun. We can’t imagine being drunk and talking about ASL. As you imply, it’s hard enough keeping the rules straight when sober!
