Hi Guys,
Just some quick info that perhaps people will find handy (that is if I’ve got it right!!).
This can be found in Journal 7 (which people can still get thier hands on) and its called Flanking Flamethrowers - though I much prefer Flaming Flamethrowers
The Boards used are 32 (Partisan) and 38 (Gung Ho!).
But you’ve probably covered that in the podcast - which will teach me to listen to it first before commenting!!!
I’m off to download it now (shame I don’t have Gung Ho - but that won’t stop me!!!!)
Cheers
Phil

Good summary of the replay. SPOILER alert–don’t read further if you don’t want to find out who wins.
Looks like your forward defense worked well, Dave. Setting up so far forward can be dangerous sometimes, but he wasn’t able to get behind you that well (except for the group that went to your left). That is a lot of ground to cover in 6.5 turns. so I don’t think I would want to be the Germans. It’s amazing that the Germans had smoke in their tanks back in ‘41, so that definitely helps them.
Please tell us if the Flamethrowers caused any damage.

Phil, I think I forgot to mention the boards needed, maybe I thought you could check them on the scenario card. Of coarse it is “flanking” and I will change it now.
Jason, You are right about the forward D and I always think that I will take a turn to fall back but then I always get to thinking that I can hold on where I am. Sometimes it doesn’t work. How did I forget to say that I lost both mortars and an LMG and I think the MMG to breakdown then a 6 on the repair rolls but that I did not run out of flame and I got at least 3-4 shots of into the smoke Mike placed on the road as he tried to cross. Yes they helped. They are good to have in such close terrain in the forward positions. Dave

Dave and Mike - Excellent job guys - excellent.
What I thought was really interesting was spending the time to look up only the rules that were relevant to that Scenario, It’s Special Rules and any unfamiliar Terrain - prior to playing. That was great because my fear as a newbee is thinking I have to learn all the rules and sort of memorise them (a mammoth job!!!). Instead I realise now that I only need to look up whats relevant to the next game I play - and just relax and enjoy.
Thanks again guys.
