Great show guys! I am more fired up for ASL than ever - if I can only find time to play (June - August is my busiest time at work…)! It was great fun to pull out the map, scenario sheet, and charts and follow along. I can’t wait to listen to Raff’s Dilemma again now that I received the Normandy Action Pack for Father’s Day. More SK playthroughs for us newbies. I hope to set S23 up solo this week and see how differently it plays without the benefit of HIP setup. I am sure that changes things a great deal, but I want to try a solo run before venturing out to VASL to try it for real (no local ftf opponents).
As a newbie, I was pleased to identify the firing lanes offered by the hilltop orchard in E8, although I must admit I would have been reluctant to place a gun there since I thought it lacked a terrain modifier. I have since realized it would have benefitted from the +1 height advantage. Since this was the first time I had been able to pull out the gear and follow along, I was amazed to be able to pick up ideas and rules here and there as it went along. I did have to pause the .mp3 player at times in order to look. You guys can talk quickly when you are excited.
Thanks again for another great show.
